BIO

    Melody Tai (she/her) is an award-winning American harpist based in LA and NYC. She has played her harp on various stages in the U.S. and Europe, including at the Conservatory of Music in Paris and Crypto Arena in Los Angeles for the 2015 Grammy awards.

    Tai received her musical training primarily from Alexandra Perdew, Mei Lau, and Daniel Alfred Wachs. Over the years, she has won and been a finalist at many competitions including the International Tournier Concorso, International Celtic Harp Competition: Arpademia, Grandjany Memorial Competition, AHS and ASTA regional competitions, and Beverly Hills ACT-SO. She currently holds memberships in the American Federation of Musicians Local 47 and the American Harp Society.

    Originally from LA, Melody graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. degree in Sustainable Development. In her free time, she enjoys studying dance, reviewing artisanal plant milks, and visiting architectural wonders.
